Ross Advances to District Championship Game
Ross Head Coach Paul Fernandez and his #3 seeded Rams upend the #1 seeded WILMINGTON Hurricane, 5-0 and advance into the District Championship on Friday, May 18th at Mason at 5:00 p.m. vs. Valley View. The Spartans, the #3 seed upset the #1 seeded Franklin Wildcats 3-0 in their Sectional Final game at Waynesville. The winner of the District Championship game moves on to the D2 Regional Tournament also at Mason H.S. on Wednesday, May 23rd at 5:00 p.m. against the McDermott District winner.

FAVC Track and Field Championship Results
CONGRATULATIONS to Head Coach Amanda Robinson (East Division Coach of the Year) and the WALNUT HILLS’ Girls Track team on winning their 3rd consecutive FAVC divisional girls’ track title by easily outdistancing the remainder of the East Division field by nearly 100 pts.
CONGRATULATIONS to Head Coach Jim Vanasky (East Division Coach of the Year) and his LOVELAND Tigers for winning their first FAVC track and field championship since 2003. The Tigers were able to overcome the hold off runner-up TURPIN, who came back from 37 team points down to finish just a half-a-point behind.
CONGRATULATIONS to Head Coach Craig Eckstein (West Division Coach of the Year) and his Mt. Healthy Owls on winning their 4th consecutive FAVC divisional track title. The Owls won ten of the twelve events and set two new conference records.
CONGRATULATIONS to TALAWANDA Head Coach, Paul Stivers and his Braves on winning their first-ever and the final FAVC divisional track title.

RECORD SETTING PERFORMANCES
The following new records will now stand in the annals of FAVC Track and Field history:
Boys 1600 M: Nick Vogele, ANDERSON shaves nearly 4 seconds off the previous record to set the final standard at 4:17.53.
Boys 3200 M: Nick Vogele, ANDERSON shatters the previous record by 6+ seconds and will go down in the final FAVC record books with a record time of 9:25.81.
Boys 4X 800 M Relay: The ANDERSON team of Nick Vogele, Casey Gallagher, Kameron Powell, and Sean Batt eclipse an eleven year old mark by nearly 5 full seconds, 8:00.39.
Boys 4 X 100 M Relay: The MT. HEALTHY team of Mike Thomas, Donnell Hughes, Mike Tucker and Joseph Ingram erase a record that has been held since 1998 by Lebanon (twice) and WINTON WOODS and set the final record: :42.80.
District Tennis Qualifiers
The FAVC had the following individuals and doubles teams qualify for the District Tennis tournament this Thursday at the A.T.P. Tennis Center in Mason.

Pierce Scott, ANDERSON, who finished 3rd at Cincinnati will meet Justin Kopronica, Butler; Marc Sodini, WILMINGTON, who finished 3rd in Dayton will meet Jermy Schneider, Mason
